Advert

Bromstone has an exciting opportunity for a dedicated, self-motivated and compassionate Family Liaison Officer.  This is a key role to ensure positive links between home and school, promote good attendance and to develop the home school partnership to improve learning outcomes for pupils. You will be actively involved in developing the partnership between home and school by supporting and signposting parents, helping them to overcome difficulties by providing them with strategies on how to deal with issues relating to their own children.

Previous experience of working with families and liaising with outside agencies including Social Services and Early Help would be advantageous.  Experience of driving a school minibus or willingness to learn would be preferable.  The role will also involve working with the Attendance Officer supporting parents/carers to identify why children are not achieving good attendance and punctuality and assist in the implementation of measures to address this.

The ideal candidate will need to be organised and able to work independently.  You will have good communication skills, be approachable, compassionate and be able to demonstrate strong emotional intelligence and the passion to make a difference to the lives of the children at our school.  In exchange we can offer you happy, enthusiastic and well-behaved children and a supportive staff team who are passionate about Bromstone and its ethos; Dream Believe Achieve.

The post will be for 30 hours per week, term-time only.
