Salary: £20,045 - £21,563 FTE (£17,240 - £18,546 pro rata) SAT 5

Fixed term position July 2023 (maternity cover)

Term Time only plus 5 Staff Development Days - 37 hours per week plus an additional 10 hours to cover meetings outside of school.

We have an opportunity for a caring, and compassionate individual to join our pastoral team.

As part of our pastoral team responsible for the pupil welfare, you will work closely with the progress leader for the year group and liaise with mentors, teachers, parents and support agencies.  You will be expected to instil our standards and expectations in pupil behaviour and appearance and to celebrate success and achievements.

It is a requirement of the role to be a qualified First Aider and Designated Safeguarding Lead, training will be provided.

This is a highly rewarding and, at times, challenging role, you will often be working with young people who are vulnerable and in need of support.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Is well organised and can document clear records
  • Has strong administrative and technical skills
  • Relishes the challenge of working with young children
