About the role: The Hundred of Hoo Academy is seeking a talented Teacher of Technology to join us for this exciting opportunity from September 2022. The ideal candidate will be passionate about their subject; looking for a new and exciting challenge; and have the ability, with the support of the academy’s leadership, to shape, design and implement the re-establishment of Technology to the curriculum at the academy.

The academy has been on a transformational journey with regards to its curriculum and now proudly offers its students a broader and balanced curriculum than ever. To complete this journey the academy is now looking to reintroduce disciplines in Technology, such as Resistant Materials, Product Design and Engineering to enhance its STEM offer. We have exceptional equipment and fantastic facilities just waiting to be rejuvenated, rekindled and revitalised, with the right candidate being instrumental in shaping the design of the technology curriculum.

We offer an exciting and rewarding place to work with access to the highest quality professional development which ensures you are at the forefront of teaching and learning innovation. Our students are keen to learn and succeed; they appreciate their teachers’ support and dedication. We can offer a bespoke professional development package based on your level of experience and career objectives and have put aside a resource fund to support the reintroduction of this subject area.

So what makes us different at The Hundred of Hoo Academy?  It is how we translate our culture, vision and values into every action every day, where you can see staff and pupils role modelling high expectations. We want our teachers to concentrate on what they do best – teach. To achieve this we have clear, consistent behaviour systems and every teacher has their own classroom. Our teachers plan the curriculum together allowing them to share expertise as well as the workload.  We also provide an array of professional development programmes for our staff including ECTs, middle and senior leader programmes.
