Languages are highly valued at our oversubscribed school and as such, unlike many other schools, students take French as a compulsory GCSE. We have a growing A Level French cohort and have been able to offer other languages such as Italian, Spanish and German. We have supported our Portuguese, Turkish, Italian and German native speakers to complete their GCSEs too in our richly diverse Faculty.

We are highly experienced in developing teachers as part of the ECT framework and find that our staff thrive in an environment where colleagues are supported.

Our languages curriculum reflects our whole school passion for a research led education for all, with inspiration taken from NCELP, Conti and Smith alongside a rigorously applied behaviour policy and centralised planning.

Staff are encouraged to take opportunities to visit other schools and attend educational research conferences so that we are able to reflect on our practice to make our school the most incredible place to work and learn.
