We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, committed and caring teaching assistant to work 1:1 to deliver identified provison to four pupils currently within KS1. Time will be split across two classes. This will be a fixed term role linked to funding received. 

Our ideal candidate will be someone who has had experience of working with chidlren with SEND, who has the skills and associated training to support children with social, emotional and behaviour difficulties/ASD. The children require a special individual who is patient, resilient and calm but who can also offer consistent and reliable support.

The successful candidate will be required to work 32.5 hours per week (8:30am to 3:30pm Monday to Friday, term time only + staff development days). The role also includes supervising children at lunchtime.

Mersham Primary School is situated in an attractive village south east of Ashford, just off the A20. This highly successful, popular and friendly rural school currently has 181 pupils on roll, drawn from Mersham itself, the surrounding villages, Ashford and beyond. The playing field and grounds have been substantially developed and resourced to provide exciting opportunities for staff to enhance the entire curriculum through regular Outdoor Classroom activities.
