Additional Educational Needs (AEN) Manager required as soon as possible

37 hours a week, 40 weeks a year

Kent Range 7 - £23,378 - £26,466 (pro rata £20,714 - £23,450)

We are seeking an Additional Education Needs Manager to assist the SENCO in managing the support of students with Additional Educational Needs (AEN) and Special Educational Needs (SEN) within the school. This includes planning provisions and interventions to support student learning and well-being, ensuring that all statutory SEN requirements are fulfilled, deploying available resources to maximum effect, advising teaching staff on how to support students with additional needs; acting as Line Manager to a team of Teaching Assistants. The role also includes making arrangements for exam concessions in internal and public exams and completing a range of other tasks as directed by the SENCo. While there will be opportunities to learn aspects of the role once in post, experience of working in a similar role/s is highly desirable.
