We are looking for an outstanding Class Teacher to join our hardworking and dedicated staff team. Experienced teachers interested in leading a subject and Early Career Teachers are both welcome to apply.

From September 2022 we need a Class Teacher and we are flexible to ensure that the successful candidate would work in their strongest Key Stage. This is initially a one year position but, depending on successful completion of an initial probationary period, there is a high possibility that this will become permanent. A successful candidate would above all be an excellent teacher committed to developing the children's learning potential. This post would suit an ambitious teacher eager to gain experience in a large primary school and will provide a wide range of teaching opportunities. 

You would also be expected to have - a good sense of humour - flexibility - a desire to make learning enjoyable - strong self motivation and organisational skills - a sound knowledge of your chosen Key Stage - energy and enthusiasm - strong and effective behavioural management skills - a share in the school's commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Information about the school

Castle Hill is a lively two form entry Community Primary School with a Specialist Resource Provision for Hearing Impaired children. We also have responsibility for running a large and thriving Nursery which shares its premises with the Children Centre on our grounds. The school is situated in an urban area of East Folkestone, on a deceptively large site.

Our children are friendly and lively and deserve the very best we can give them. We are extremely proud of the school and would be delighted to show you around.

We have a fantastic building and facilities that were refurbished / rebuilt in 2010.
