About the role: Strood Academy is seeking to appoint a creative, analytical and methodical Teacher of Science to join the department from September 2022. You will be part of a vibrant, experienced, supportive science team; we believe in working collaboratively, sharing ideas and supporting each other to achieve great things and see this as the key to further developing innovative teaching and learning strategies.

The ideal candidate will be able to teach across the ability range for KS3 and KS4 and a real interest in developing teaching and learning is also important. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher to join an academy which is committed to providing high quality professional development opportunities and support a science team on its journey to outstanding.

This is a full time, permanent role offering MPS/UPS commensurate with experience. For an exceptional candidate, there is possibility for a TLR to be offered for additional responsibility.

Information about the trust

Being part of Leigh Academies Trust: As of 1st September 2023, our Trust comprises 31 geographically organised academies (14 secondaries, 14 primaries and 2 special) educating 20,000 students, and employing 3,000 talented staff. The Trust is establishing four ‘clusters’ of academies: North Kent; Central Kent; South East London; Medway. In addition, the Trust is responsible for one of the region’s biggest initial teaching training organisations, a large teaching school hub and is an accredited apprenticeship provider.
