Business Support Manager

Riverview Junior School is seeking a reliable, dynamic, animated and energetic Business Support Manager to join our professional team.

The role includes responsibility for leading the school operations and you will work as the lead support staff professional, assisting the Head Teacher and Senior Leadership Team in their duties, to ensure that the school meets its educational and operational aims.

You will be responsible for premises, health and safety management, some aspects of HR administration, along with the line management of the admin, premises and extended services teams. This is a varied and rewarding role which would suit a well organised, flexible person with an aptitude for hard work and creativity, and strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Riverview Junior School is a member of The Pathway Academy Trust and benefits from collaborative working and support from its partner schools and the Trust’s Central Team.  This position offers an interesting and exciting opportunity for a committed individual to work for a friendly and supportive organisation where all members of the school community work as a team. 

You will be required to work 30-37 hours per week (negotiable at interview), term time only plus inset days and one additional week during the school holidays. You will be paid on Kent Range 8, full time equivalent £26,205 - £29,885, actual pro rata salary (depending on hours agreed) £18,910 - £21,566 based on 30 hours per week, 40 weeks per year and £23,322 - £26,598 based on 37 hours per week, 40 weeks per year.

You must be an enthusiastic team player, where you need to productively engage with the team members, pupils and other school communities on a daily basis.  You must be competent in the use of internet and email and be able to deal with face to face communications with confidence and tact. You must be educated to at least GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) and demonstrate a sound understanding of spelling and grammar.

Riverview Junior School is a very popular four form entry Key Stage 2 school on a large site we share with the Infant School.

Our extensive site offers lots of opportunities for outdoor learning, including an outdoor library, two football pitches, MUGA, outdoor intervention area, animal farm and forest school, and we offer large well-resourced classrooms.
