We currently have a vacancy for a part-time Assistant Cook.

20 hours per week, 10:00 to 14:00 Monday to Friday (Term time only + 1 week) 

Swalecliffe Primary School is looking to appoint an Assistant Cook with a proven track record in a busy kitchen to support the school Cook and kitchen team in providing nutritious meals from our innovative menu.

Our two kitchens provide a cooked lunch to 580 pupils every day and are maintained to an exceptionally high standard of efficiency and hygiene. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a busy kitchen, hold relevant food qualifications and demonstrate high levels of organisation and teamwork needed to deliver 580 meals every day. The role will also involve competent use of our IT ordering system, accurate stock control, and excellent communication skills to liaise with colleagues and midday supervisors effectively. In addition, you will demonstrate good ICT skills and planning and delivery skills.
