The John Wallis Church of England Academy are currently recruiting for a High Needs Funding (HNF) Teaching Assistant for the Lower School.

The role is full time, term-time only and is funded until July 2023.  There may be the possibility of funding continuing into the following academic year.

We are looking to appoint a HNF Teaching Assistant with the drive and ambition to share our passionate belief that every child and young person should have the opportunity to realise their full potential; to be encouraged to raise their aspirations; and to have the opportunity to learn in an environment that is safe, inspired and guided by the key Christian values of respect, truth, trust, integrity and love.

HNF Teaching Assistants assist in the educational and social development of individual pupils under the direction and guidance of the Vice Principal Head of School and SENCO team to ensure they attain the targets set under their individual educational programmes.

Skills and Experience -  To be considered for the position:

  • Good standard of general education (i.e. NVQ level 2 or equivalent)
  • Previous experience (1-2 years) of working with children.
  • Knowledge of policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety, security, equal opportunities and confidentiality.
