We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled, highly motivated and enthusiastic HLTA.  The successful candidate will be expected to cover PPA and other lessons according to need, therefore able to deliver the curriculum to classes of children working closely with our friendly team. This role would suit an individual who has the qualities and skills for a practical approach to learning.

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • Excellent classroom practice
  • Good team approach
  • A passion for a creative curriculum
  • Strong commitment to inclusive principles,
  • Experience of providing a safe and positive environment for all children.
  • A comprehensive understanding of the curriculum

They should also show an ability to respond to different learning styles, which is essential.

The position is offered 5 days a week on a fixed-term contract until July 2023.

The closing date for applications is 5pm on Tuesday 7th  June, with shortlisting taking place on Wednesday 8th June.  Interviews and observations will take place between 13th- 17th June .  If shortlisted, we will be asking you to deliver a short lesson as part of the selection process.

Information about the school

Lenham Primary School is a friendly school set in the rural community of Lenham. The school is single form entry with 210 pupils on roll. Access to the school is quick and easy by car from most areas of Kent, Medway or the London fringes via the M20 and A20. There is also easy access by train or bus.

Our pupils benefit from extensive grounds which are used to enhance the learning opportunities for all pupils. The school is very much at the heart of the community with a number of community activities based here. We have a well-established staff team, supportive parents and strong links with our local secondary school.

Lenham Primary had a good OFSTED inspection in June 2018. We have a reputation for successful inclusion, well-behaved pupils and an interest in Olympic and Paralympic values.
