Are you a dynamic and inspirational teacher with a proven record of effective leadership? Are you passionate about improving student outcomes?

Homewood School and Sixth Form Centre is an inclusive wide-ability Academy working within Tenterden Schools Trust, a group of local schools committed to improving the provision and outcomes for our students from 0 to 19. Our vision is to provide a world class learning experience for our students, working as a team, learning in partnership with one another and the wider community.

We are looking for a confident and enthusiastic person, who shares our vision and ethos, to join our dedicated and experienced team. The successful candidate will provide leadership in all aspects of the school, working with the Executive and Strategy teams to further develop academic provision and progression for all students.

As Vice Principal you will be the strategic lead for our curriculum, standards and the delivery of high-quality academic outcomes throughout the school. You will work very closely with the Principal, Vice Principal (Students), Heads of Communities and other members of the senior leadership team in order to continue to drive academic standards and shape the future success of the school.

Individual strengths will be taken into consideration to help fine tune the role for the successful candidate.

Homewood has excellent facilities for all its students and our specialisms in Performing Arts, Applied Learning and the Rural Dimension underpin our approaches to learning which are designed to raise achievement across the whole student body. We aim to maintain and develop the cultural aspirations of the school community in line with our priorities of “belonging” and “respect” and offer a broad range of curriculum opportunities in all subject areas. This also extends into the local community through partnerships across primary, secondary and higher education sectors as well as non-educational community partners.

Homewood provides a secure and caring learning environment in which all students can flourish and succeed. It is a school renowned for its support for students’ wellbeing. Heads of Community provide academic and pastoral leadership for the students in their Community, supported by dedicated form tutors, a Family Liaison Officer and Assistant Head of Community.
