All Year round contract

37 hours a week

PLEASE NOTE WE ARE NOT OFFERING PART TIME HOURS FOR THIS ROLE.

Are you a friendly, warm and welcoming person with a bubbly personality? Do you have a positive outlook that draws people to you? If so, you have the attributes that we are looking for to complement our office team and reception; the gateway to our school.

First impressions are important but we want all parents, carers and visitors to feel welcomed every time they enter the school. Equally they must feel listened to when they talk to us either in person or on the telephone.

We currently have a Reception/Administration Assistant post available for 37 hours per week. Additional or alternative hours may be requested on occasions so flexibility is essential.

The role involves receptionist duties alongside other varied administrative tasks. A key responsibility will be to share the use of social media to promote the school, using Facebook/ClassDojo and the school website as the main platforms. This will be an exciting opportunity to develop a corporate approach, using creative communication skills to enhance the experience, in order to better reach our families and the local wider community.

The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills and, preferably, an experience of the school management system (SIMs/Arbor). A strong understanding of Word, Excel and email is essential to the role.

If you would like to know more about this opportunity at Joy Lane Primary School, please contact Miss Rumbles, our Personnel Officer, on 01227 261430/email hr@joylane.kent.sch.uk to arrange a visit.
