About the role: Langley Park Primary Academy has an exceptional opportunity for committed, enthusiastic and passionate Teaching Assistant to join us as we continue to grow. The academy successfully opened in September 2016 and this is a unique chance to be part of a school on it’s journey to becoming a fully established, outstanding academy by contributing to its development, success and aspirations. Joining Langley Park Primary Academy will enable you to work with like-minded colleagues who share your goals and ambitions. You will be part of a team that provides outstanding educational opportunities for all of our pupils through creative, carefully sequenced and highly effective lines of inquiry where all learners are at the very core of driving our curriculum.

The successful candidates will need to have relevant experience and/or qualifications in working with primary-aged children. We are also looking for proven high standards of both spoken and written English and Mathematics. Being able to communicate effectively with children and adults is essential, together with a friendly and approachable manner. Our newly appointed Learning Support Assistants will be able to work using their own initiative and can demonstrate effective behaviour management skills. In return, they will join a supportive environment with plenty of development opportunities within the academy and across the wider Trust.

We are looking for someone who;

  • is dedicated to the job and prioritises the needs of the children in their care.
  • has experience of working with primary aged children and preferably experience of working with children who have need
  • is resilient and solution-focused

The role offers an actual salary of £14,913 per annum based on 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday 08:30-16:00), Term Time + 1 week of inset. The role will be centred around supporting children’s learning and development in all aspects of school life, not only in class but during social times too. This will mean that implementing lunchtime and break time routines and activities will be an expected part of the role.
