Luton Primary School are looking to appoint an energetic and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our friendly, inclusive KS1 Team.  Do you have the ability to inspire, motivate and support pupils? If so, Luton Primary School could be for you!

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work primarily within the classroom alongside the class teacher assisting and supporting to ensure effective and efficient teaching is acheived on a daily basis.  The role involves daily interaction with pupils and the class teacher, following lesson plans and preparing the learning environment. There will also be the opportuniy to work with small groups with specific learning targets. 

The ideal candidate will be able to promote positive behaviour patterns, raise self-esteem and improve independent working in children to assist in their education and growth.

  • To be able to work as part of a team;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills;
  • You will be felixble in your approach, reliable, enthusiatic and have a positive attitude and;
  • Have a sense of humour!

Desirable Experience:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a primary school setting;
  • Good subject knowledge in reading, writing and maths;
  • Teaching Assistant Level 3 Qualification or similar and;
  • Experience of working in KS1
