We wish to appoint an excellent, highly motivated and committed teacher with high aspirations for children’s learning and behaviour as Senior Teacher.  The post holder will be part of the school’s senior leadership team and the role will provide great opportunities to work independently as a key leader within the school, using skills and experience to assist in leading the school.  The post holder will also lead a core curriculum subject.

We are Federated with Goodnestone CE Primary School and maintain close links with Aycliffe CP School.  As such, the role also brings great opportunities to develop collaborative leadership skills through working with the leadership teams across the three schools particularly within teaching and learning and the curriculum.

Our school has an inclusive culture in which all are cared for and supported.  With a new build classroom extension due to be completed in the summer, we are at an exciting time of our school development and this role would provide the right candidate with a great opportunity to have impact at whole school level.

The Federation of Goodnestone and Nonington comprises of two small Church of England Primary Schools in neighbouring villages. Both schools retain their unique identities, under the leadership of one Governing Body and one Headteacher.

Nonington CE Primary School is a small rural primary school, close to Aylesham. The school is currently undergoing an exciting transformation with a 2 classroom extension being built, due for completion in the early summer 2022. We benefit from extensive grounds in the quiet of the countryside which enables our children to experience learning opportunities in a wonderful, natural environment. The school has a small roll of just under 50 pupils, currently organised into three classes. Goodnestone CE Primary School is situated in a beautiful rural setting, with access to a fantastic woodland area which is used to support the children's learning.
