Job Description

Fair Access are recruiting full time (37 hours) 1 x Term Time Only HLTA, to provide one to one delivery of tuition as part of an Education Programme in a variety of localities throughout Kent

We are seeking to recruit a qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), to provide tuition as part of an Education Programme in a variety of localities within Kent, to Children and Young People who require one to one support in preparation for accessing identified education provision.

The Higher-Level Teaching Assistant will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, working with vulnerable Children and Young People (CYP), building on their self- confidence and resilience and reengaging and reintegrating CYP in preparation for accessing identified education provision

Due to the challenging behaviour of our pupils, flexibility and understanding is important.  

You will require excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to manage challenging situations, and the ability to communicate clearly and successfully.

We are seeking candidates who are motivated, reliable, caring and keen to rise to the daily challenges in supporting high quality and innovative education programmes.

You will have relevant experience in working with vulnerable learners.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
