We have a very rewarding opportunity for three people to join the Safer Mobility Team as School Crossing Patrol Instructors. This is a term time, part time role with good flexibility.
You will be responsible for training and monitoring School Crossing Patrol (SCP) staff. This will involve communicating with Schools, working on the roadside to train staff on site, writing up risk assessments and training and monitoring reports afterwards. You will play an important part in ensuring SCP staff are working effectively and safely, helping to contribute to casualty reduction.
You must have excellent communication skills and confidence in giving feedback. You must be comfortable writing reports following set templates and have good attention to detail.
The ability to travel across a wide geographical area in a timely and flexible manner at various times of the day is essential as this post will involve visiting schools across your area.
The role is part time and days and hours are flexible, but you must be able to be present at schools across your area and further afield occasionally when required for the start and end of the school day (varying between 8am and 5pm). We have three area vacancies to fill, Area 3, 4 and 5 included on the attached map.
