Trainee Teachers

Kent-Teach meets over 500 trainee teachers every year and year on year we are overwhelmed by the excitement, enthusiasm and passion trainee teachers show towards the teaching profession and the eagerness to qualify as NQTs.

More and more people go into teaching because of love for their subject area, the opportunity to make a difference to the lives of children and because teaching is FUN. Each day varies, it’s creative and inspiring and for teachers both new and experienced, nothing beats the “light bulb moment” their pupils get when they have learned something in the classroom.

Kent is proud to support and nurture trainee teachers alongside many Initial Teacher Training Institutions across the UK and Ireland.  We believe it is important to meet trainee teachers early in their career in order to talk about the wonderful and inspiring opportunities there are in Kent for teachers once they qualify.

From October through to March, the Kent-Teach team road trip across the UK visiting university education careers fairs where trainee teachers have the opportunity to; meet with us, talk WORKING, TEACHING and LIVING in Kent and how to sign up to the Kent-Teach website to find NQT positions.

You can also check out our NQT pages to find out about the induction and support you will receive in Kent- link to page
