10 Handy Online Teaching Tools - Part 1


In the time it takes to keep up with technology, it’s often miles ahead again by the time you’ve done some research. 

As an educator, finding online teaching tools has a similar set of problems. Putting your faith in a gadget takes time. Time isn’t always on your side, either. 

In some cases, the results justify the research. But there’s nothing more off-putting than researching a teaching tool, only to find it’s not that beneficial.

With that in mind, we wanted to save you some of the work. If you’re hoping to find some online teaching tools to save you time, we’ve got you covered. 

1) Trello
This is the to-do list of to-do lists. It lets you or small teams keep track of tasks and projects and can show you the different stages of progress towards completion.


2) Adapt
This is an app specifically designed to create effective revision timetables for pupils. 


3) Class Dojo

Through class dojo, educators can make seating plans, award achievements and log behaviour incidents. They also have a range of growth mindset videos, resources and discussion points to support creating a resilient attitude to learning.


4) OneNote

A simple yet effective note-taking app. You can organise different sets of notes, and schedule your own tasks and reminders for them, too.


5) Canva
An extensive and easy design tool for everyone. You can create pretty much anything and there are loads of design options for you to choose from., and files are shareable online, and downloadable.
