Terms & Conditions:

1) Open to Kent residents only.

2) Entrants must be 18 or over.

3) Competition opens at 7:00am GMT on Thursday 7th November 2024 and closes at 10:00am GMT on Thursday 21st November 2024. Entries made after this time will not be counted.

4) Entries to be made via the comments of the Facebook, Instagram, X or LinkedIn competition post on the Kent-Teach page or by emailing support@kent-teach.co.uk. Entries made on reminder posts and other Kent-Teach platforms will not be accepted.

5) Multiple entries can be made per person across different platforms (e.g. Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X and email) with the condition that multiple entries on one social media post by the same individual will not be counted.

6) Only one school should be entered per comment. If you are part of a Trust or Federation, you can enter for all your schools as separate individualised comments.

7) Entrants may tag individuals in an entry, but this is not a requirement of the competition.

8) Entries containing inappropriate, offensive, or abusive imagery or language will not be counted.

9) There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.

10) The prize is as stated: a Standard Video Service package including a custom 30-45s Recritment Video including an interview with 1 Key Staff Member and 1 round of editing revisions. 

11) The winner will be bound by the Video Service Terms and Conditions outlined below: 

i) Introduction - 

These Terms and Conditions govern the agreement between Kent-Teach ("Service Provider") and the school ("Client") for the provision of video production services. By engaging our services, the Client agrees to these terms. 

ii) Services Provided - 

The Service Provider agrees to produce a video as specified by the Client. The services include: Pre-Production Production Post-Production Delivery of the final video.

iii) Package Details Standard Package- 

30-45-second video High-quality visuals and music; text overlays and transitions; interview with 1 key staff member; B-roll footage of one school site; initial virtual meeting to discuss requirements; post-production work within 7 working days; 1 round of editing revisions; and delivery in MP4/MOV format.

Processes and Timelines 

iv) Initial Meeting: 

Schedule a virtual meeting via Teams or Zoom Discuss vision, goals, and target audience 

Determine key messages and themes 

Set budget and timeline 

Confirm customisation options and topics 

Deliver project timeline and contract within 3 working days 

v) Video Brief and Contract: 

Create a video brief outlining project scope, deliverables, timeline, and costs 

Send brief to the Client for review 

Negotiate terms and finalise the contract

Obtain Client’s signature 

Provide a script-writing guide (for Standard and Pro packages) 

Receive a list of filming locations from the Client Send signed-up clients a pack with key tips and templates 

vi) Pre-Production Planning: 

Develop storyboard and production day schedule within 3 working days 

Client reviews within 1 working day 

Schedule filming dates and arrange equipment/personnel 

Client to decide on background audio and send branding materials 

vii) Production: 

Set up equipment at the filming location 

Record voiceover in the soundproof room if possible 

Direct the shoot, capturing all planned scenes and additional B-roll footage 

Ensure the school site is ready for filming

viii) Post-Production: Deliver a draft version of the video within 7 working days of the shoot Client provides feedback and requests revisions within 3 working days Final Delivery: Deliver final video within 5 working days after revisions Implement requested revisions and adjustments Export the final video in MOV/MP4 format Deliver via WeTransfer Client Communication: Regular updates via email, phone calls, and video meetings Provide progress updates, address challenges, and adjust timeline if necessary

Scheduling

ix) The Client must provide:

The desired delivery date of the video.

The earliest start date for filming.

The Service Provider will endeavour to meet these dates but cannot guarantee exact delivery dates due to potential unforeseen circumstances.

x) Marketing Consent -

The Client can consent to or opt out of allowing the video to be used for the Service Provider's marketing purposes. If consent is given, the video may be used in accordance with the Service Provider's (Read Privacy Policy) and (Read Marketing Policy).

xi) Permissions for Identifiable Students 

The Client is responsible for obtaining explicit permission from parents or guardians for any identifiable children who will appear in the video. The Service Provider will not be liable for any issues arising from the failure to obtain such permissions. The service provider will also need you to complete the consent form. 

xii) Additional Edits 

Any additional edits requested by the Client beyond the deadline for feedback will be charged at a rate of ÂŁ50 per hour. The Service Provider will provide an estimate of the time required for additional edits before commencing the work

xiii) Client Responsibilities 

The Client is responsible for: 

Providing access to necessary facilities and materials for filming. 

Ensuring availability and cooperation during the scheduled filming times. 

xiv) Intellectual Property 

The Service Provider retains ownership of all raw footage and editing materials. The Client receives usage rights to the final video for educational and promotional purposes as agreed. 

xv) Confidentiality

Both parties agree to maintain the confidentiality of any proprietary or sensitive information disclosed during the course of this agreement. 

xvi) Liability 

The Service Provider will take all reasonable care in the production of the video. However, the Service Provider will not be liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential losses arising from the use of the video.

xvii) Cancellation Policy

If the Client needs to cancel or reschedule the filming, they must provide at least 7 days' notice. Cancellations made within 7 days of the scheduled filming date may incur a cancellation fee. 

xviii) Force Majeure

Neither party shall be liable for any delay or failure to perform its obligations due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, or other unforeseen events.

xix) Governing Law 

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes arising from these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom.

xx) Changes to Terms 

The Service Provider reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. The Client will be notified of any changes, and continued use of the services will constitute acceptance of the amended terms.

12) Kent-Teach reserves the right to cancel or amend the giveaway and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of Kent-Teach’s control. Any changes to the giveaway will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.

13) Winners will be determined at KT Team discretion and contacted on Thursday 21st November 2024 to make arrangements for the prize delivery. 

14) The prize is valid until 31st July 2024. Arrangements for filming and delivery should be made prior to this date. This will be subject to the availability of our videographer. The school is responsible for making arrangements to receive this prize within this window. Should the school miss this deadline, the prize will be null and void.

15) All entrants agree that if they win, they may be featured and tagged on our social media channels, including their names and Facebook profile pictures.

16) By entering this competition, the entrant is agreeing to these terms and conditions.

17) This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Instagram, or any other Social Network. You are providing your information to Kent-Teach and not to any other party.
