Celebrating a Year of Collaboration: Kent-Teach and Our Valued Partners

Over the past year, Kent-Teach has had the pleasure of partnering with numerous local businesses and organisations, bringing exciting competitions and enriching experiences to the education staff and communities of Kent and beyond. These partnerships have not only enhanced the professional and personal lives of our education staff but have also provided unique learning opportunities for young people across the region. We would like to take a moment to thank all those who have partnered with us and reflect on the incredible journey we've shared over the last academic year.

Leeds Castle

Leeds Castle, often referred to as "the loveliest castle in the world," has been a magnificent partner over this academic year (keep your eyes peeled for what’s coming soon!) Located in the heart of Kent, this historical site provides countless educational tours and activities, allowing students and teachers to immerse themselves in over 900 years of history. From medieval banquets to castle-themed workshops, Leeds Castle is a cornerstone of historical education for our community.

Howletts Wild Animal Park

Howletts Wild Animal Park has brought the wonders of wildlife to the forefront of our educational experiences. Home to a diverse range of animals, including critically endangered species, Howletts offers exclusive behind-the-scenes tours and conservation workshops. These experiences have fostered a deeper understanding of wildlife conservation among students and educators alike.

KCS Stationery

KCS Stationery, a leading supplier of educational resources, was instrumental in supporting our competitions and classroom activities for this year’s stationery week. Their vast range of high-quality stationery and educational supplies ensured our teachers and students had the tools they needed to succeed. KCS' commitment to education has helped us provide a practical and creative hamper to a Kent school.

Barefoot Computing

Barefoot Computing has been a pivotal partner in promoting digital literacy. By providing comprehensive resources and training for teachers, Barefoot Computing has empowered educators to deliver high-quality computer science education. Their innovative approach has inspired students to explore the world of coding and computational thinking, setting them on a path to future success in the digital age. We have several fantastic blogs from Barefoot and have shared many resources – use the search bar to find more.

KMT Teacher Training

KMT's expertise in School Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) has helped us provide information to the next generation of teachers. For nearly 30 years, they have been successfully training teachers. Now KMT is one of the largest and most highly regarded Accredited Provider of Initial Teacher Training (ITT) in the South East. We were privileged to sit down with some of the KMT team in our webinar earlier this year and have them give us a more in-depth look at the SCITT route into teaching. We look forward to learning more about their apprenticeship offering later this year.

Bloomsbury Publishers

Bloomsbury Publishers, renowned for their diverse and engaging publications, have enriched our literary initiatives. Their support through book donations for our Annual Big Summer Book Swap added a new dynamic to the initiative; with a diverse bundle of wonderful books, Bloomsbury has ignited a passion for reading and writing in students across Kent. Their support has been invaluable in fostering a love for literature and encouraging creative expression.

Wildwood Trust Kent

The Wildwood Trust, dedicated to the conservation of British wildlife, has provided unforgettable educational experiences through its nature reserves and wildlife parks. Their hands-on learning opportunities have allowed students to connect with nature, understand ecological principles, and appreciate the importance of wildlife conservation. Wildwood Trust's commitment to environmental education has left a lasting impact on our community. We are excited to continue working with them into the next academic year.

A Heartfelt Thank You

Together, we have created memorable experiences, inspired young minds, and fostered a community of learning and growth.
