This year for International Day of Women and Girls in Science, you could win bestselling author Kate Pankhurst’s ‘Fantastically Great Women Scientists and Their Stories’ books for each class in your school! Simply enter our free Facebook competition. Here’s what to do:

Competition closes on Friday 17th February 2023 at 12:00pm. If you win, we’ll contact you via Facebook messenger on the same day to confirm and arrange the quantity and dispatch of the prize.


Terms & Conditions:

1. Open to UK residents only.

2. Entrants must be 18 or over.

3. One entry per user. You can however enter if the school's profile and other members of staff from your school have already entered. Multiple entries from one person will not be counted. But you can of course tell us as many science topics as you like in one comment!

4. Entries to be made via the comments of the competition Facebook post on the Kent-Teach Facebook page (any and all entries on other social media platforms and the Kent School Jobs Facebook page will not be counted).

5. Competition opens at 11:00am GMT on Monday 13th February 2023 and closes at 12:00pm GMT on Friday 17th February 2023. Entries made after this time will not be counted.

6. Entries containing inappropriate, offensive, or abusive imagery or language will not be counted.

7. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.

8. The prize is as stated: New paperback copies of Kate Pankhurst’s ‘Fantastically Great Women Scientists and Their Stories’ books for each class in the winning school, based on information provided to us by the winner, and up to a maximum of fifteen books total. No cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable.

9. Kent-Teach reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of Kent-Teach’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.

10. The winner will be randomly selected by an online generator, featuring entrant names and Facebook profile images. This process may be recorded and posted on our social media channels.

11. The winner will be contacted via direct message on Facebook after the draw on Friday 17th February 2023. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not accept the prize by 11:59pm Tuesday 21st February 2023, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.

12. The winner must provide us with a Kent educational facility of their choosing for the books to be donated to. The books will not be sent to an individual’s home for personal use. The winner may not make amendments to the prize after dispatch. Any requests to change the prize’s recipient or quantity, or receive a refund for the books will not be accepted.

13. All entrants agree that if they win, they may be featured and tagged on our social media channels, including their name and Facebook profile picture. Name and imagery of the receiving school may also be featured.

14. Kent-Teach is not liable and will not take any responsibility for any loss, damage or theft of the books after dispatch.

15. By entering this competition, the entrant is agreeing to these terms and conditions.
