On the lookout for the best festive events taking place in Kent over the Christmas Holidays to keep your little ones (and yourself!) entertained? From visiting Father Christmas to ice skating and train rides, there’s plenty going on in the county over the next few weeks. Here are our top picks:

1) Christmas at Kent Life, Maidstone 

Join the festive fun at Kent Life over the Christmas Holidays! With a Land Train driven by the Head Elf, the chance to meet Father Christmas in his magical grotto and plenty of farmyard animals to visit, kids are bound to enjoy a day out at Kent Life!

2) Father Christmas at the Hop Farm

3) Christmas at Bedgebury

With a mile-long path winding through a world of trees lit up with sparkling lights, Bedgebury National Pinetum is truly a magical wonderland over the Christmas period! Adults and children alike will love exploring the seasonal sights, colours and activities dotted around among the trees. 

4) Father Christmas Comes to Groombridge Place

Each pre-booked family visit to Groombridge Place includes a private visit with Father Christmas and his friendly elf and a present for children. With Christmas decoration making in the café, a festive menu, storytelling sessions and more, there’s something for the whole family! 

5) Ice Rink at Bluewater

Bluewater’s annual ice rink is always a hit with locals and visitors in Kent. The undercover outdoor ice rink features a separate children’s area, a view of the beautiful lakes and hot beverages on offer. 

6) White Cliffs Christmas, Dover 

The White Cliffs Christmas Event is returning to Dover’s historic Cruise Terminal One for 2019! This festive experience includes visits with Father Christmas and his elves, an undercover ice rink and a Christmas Market.

7) Christmas in Calverley Grounds, Tunbridge Wells

For its 10th successive year, the open-air ice rink is returning to Tunbridge Wells. Alongside festive skating fun, visitors can also see Father Christmas in his cosy log cabin on select dates throughout December (make sure to check the website beforehand to avoid disappointment).

8)  Ice Skating at Eastwell Manor 

Enjoy some traditional festive fun at the Eastwell Manor skate rink this Christmas. Whether you’re enjoying an afternoon out with family, a romantic date or fun with friends, Eastwell Manor is offering mulled wine, mince pies and a Christmas boutique alongside the ice rink.

9) Rare Breeds Centre, Ashford 

The Rare Breeds Centre is a much-loved venue for families in Kent during the festive season.
