Kent-Teach Winners of Kent CIPD 2018 Excellence in Recruitment

On Friday 9th March, Kent CIPD held an awards ceremony at Ashford International Hotel to recognise excellence across all areas of Human Resources in Kent. Kent-Teach were nominated for the Excellence in Recruitment Award and although the competition was tough, we were absolutely delighted to be announced the winners!

We won the category for our innovative social media activity and our trailblazing #IMINCHARGE marketing campaign. The aim of our #IMINCHARGE campaign was to help combat the teacher shortage by focussing our attention on the younger generation of 11 to 16 years to get them thinking of teaching from an early age and ultimately encourage them to consider a career in the challenging yet rewarding profession.

The campaigns success also resulted in us being nominated for a RAD Award for Best Use of Audio for the work we did on promoting #IMINCHARGE via radio and hosting an ‘Ask a Teacher Evening’ on KMFM; this provided the opportunity for teenagers to speak to real teachers and ask questions about what it’s really like to be an educator in Kent.

The awards ceremony was a fantastic evening filled with great food and wonderful company.  We watched other talented individuals across the HR field in Kent collect their awards and below is a list of the other categories and those who also won an award:

HR Rising Star - Simon Arnold

Leader of the Year - Carrie McKenzie

Consultancy of the Year - Dakota Blue Consulting

Excellence in Recruitment - Kent Teach Team

Employee Engagement Initiative - Integrated Service Solutions Ltd

HR Student of the Year - Harriet Williams

L&D Professional of the Year - Elaine Bolton

HR Professional of the Year - Emma Davies
