Now fireworks come with funfairs, live music, pop-up food and drink stalls and laser shows. So wrap up snug and head to one of the county’s many bonfire displays this weekend. Whether you just fancy staying close to home at your local community centre or you want to treat the kids to more of a spectacle, Kent has an abundance of events planned throughout the weekend. Here’s our guide to firework displays and bonfire night events across Kent:Friday 2nd NovemberBearsted, Nr MaidstoneThe spectacular fireworks display returns again thanks to Bearsted Parish Council and will be set to superhero classic tunes this year as decided by the public. Bearsted Scouts will be selling hot dogs and burgers, as well as other food and drink stalls and glow sticks will be available for the kids.When: Friday 2nd November - gates open at 6pm, with fireworks from 7.30pm.Where: Elizabeth Harvie Field, Behind Holy Cross Church, Bearsted, Maidstone, ME14 4HRPrices: £8 for adults, £5 for children, £20 for a family ticket, with under fours going free. Once the display has finished you can indulge in a late-night shop and view their new Christmas range. Pay on the gate for £10 each or £30 for a family. Ashford Rugby ClubThe rugby club are set to wow the crowds again this year with another huge display. The fireworks spectacular attracted 10,000 people last year and so tickets are likely to sell out quickly. Money raised from ticket sales goes to a chosen charity each year.EdenbridgeThe annual Edenbridge bonfire celebration has become well known for its two 10m tall effigies (Guy Fawkes and a Celebrity guy) which are thrown on the bonfire every year. The evening starts with a torch-lit parade through the town along with many brightly lit carnival floats, costumed walking parties, and marching bands.When: Saturday, 3rd November - torch lit carnival parade from 6.30pm, with fireworks from 8.30pm. Gate tickets prices are slightly higher.Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th NovemberKent LifePrepare to be amazed and the Kent Life fireworks spectacular, with fire breathers lighting the bonfire in a celebration marking the beginning of their winter festivities. The evening will be entertaining for all ages with activities including face painting, children’s fairground rides, glow sticks galore and plenty of food and drink.When: Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th November - Gates open at 3pm, bonfire lit at 6.15pm and fireworks at 6.45pm.Where: Kent Life, Lock Lane, Sandling near Maidstone, just off junction six of the M20.Prices: £12 for adults, £10 for children, £40 for a family ticket, with under threes free. Tickets must be purchased online on the Kent Life website and will not be available on the gate.Leeds CastleThe ever popular fireworks display at Leeds Castle runs over two nights and will be set to the theme of 'Dancing' this year. In the afternoon, there will be live music, falconry displays and fairground rides to enjoy. Tickets must be purchased in advance from the Leeds Castle website.Sunday 4th NovemberBrands Hatch, West KingsdownSparks will fly on and off the track for the annual Truck Racing and Fireworks spectacular on Sunday. Unique to the Brands Hatch display is the 'twilight convoy' which sees HGVs take to the circuit with lights ablaze as the fireworks take to the sky. The event includes circus workshops, music and stunt shows plus free dinosaur shows. When: Sunday, 4th November - gates open from 8am with all-day racing, show-truck parade at 4.40pm and fireworks from 5pm.Where: Brands Hatch, West Kingsdown, Longfield DA3 8NGPrices: Advanced tickets have now closed. Tickets bought at the gate will be £25 for adults and £15 for children.Folkestone Rugby ClubThe display has been extended this year and there will be live music as well as the normal bar and BBQ as well as sweet stands.
