All Different, All Equal - #AntiBullyingWeek

Anti-Bullying week is organised by the Anti-Bullying Alliance and held between 13th to 17th November. It is a time to raise awareness of difference and equality in schools with the tag-line ‘All Different, All Equal’.

Here are some bullying Myths and Facts we have put together:

The week is a great opportunity for schools to get involved, take a stand against bullying and raise awareness. After all, bullying can have a huge impact on all individuals whether this is at school, college or socially.

Bullying UK carried out a survey from May 2014 to August 2016 which revealed the results for Children and Young People, Teachers and Schools and Parents and Carers.

For Children and Young People, 81% experienced name calling, 55% experienced social bullying and 67% felt depressed as a result of being bullied. These figures alone reflect the devastating effect bullying can have on people. You can learn more about the survey results here.

Bullying UK aims to raise £100,000 so that continued support can be given to those affected by bullying. On Friday 10th November, you can wear blue to support the campaign and raise money and awareness; this can be anything from blue jeans, t-shirt and/or accessories or perhaps something more obvious if you wish to really stand out.

You can download a ‘wear blue pack’ which includes fun ideas, posters and more and for more information, check out. Together, we can make a stand against bullying and stop bullies.
