National Happiness Award - Who will you nominate?

National Happiness Award 2017 is a competition run by the organisation Laughology, whose approach to learning, development and thinking is using humour and happiness. The award aims to reward the happiest places to work and learn in the UK and is the first happiness competition of its kind; the initiative encourages schools/organisations to recognise the importance of wellbeing and how much it positively affects a team of staff.

‘School and Education’ is one of the categories of the campaign and people are invited to nominate schools or people who they think promote happiness.

So, how strongly does your school focus on wellbeing?

If a school was nominated, shortlisted or even won a Happiness Award, it would be an excellent way to promote the school and their ethos; it could boost morale between staff and would likely add to the appeal of working at a nominated or winning school as wellbeing is one important factor that job seekers consider when looking for a school position.

Who makes you happy in your school?

Entering a work colleague into the competition will show your appreciation for all they do in school and will help spread happiness, contributing to a healthy working environment.

So if you have a school or person in mind that really values the importance of happiness in the workplace and contributes to the wellbeing of staff then ensure you nominate them now before the deadline on 20th October 2017 at midnight

Here’s what Schools, Employees and Pupils could win:
