Sir James Matthew Barrie was born on 9th May 1860 and was the famous author of the classic fantasy story, Peter Pan. This was Barrie’s most famous work as the success of Peter Pan has lived for over 100 years since it was created in 1904. The story of Peter Pan is constantly relived through theatre performances including musicals, pantomime and caters for adults and children; it is known to be one of the greatest children’s stories in western literature!
