The Magic of Christmas in Kent - Things to Do in 2016

Some of you may be thinking "it’s too early" but it’s already been snowing in some parts of the country! Christmas is knocking on the festive door with a lovely spruce, pine cone, and berry wreath.

Christmas lights are being switched on, ice skating rinks appearing, panto season is soon starting, if you can't beat them, then you might as well be there too!

Christmas Lights

Celebrities, festive music and entertainment, giant Christmas trees, crowds, and the anticipation - all signalling the start of Christmas on a high street near you. Here’s where you can watch Christmas lights get switched on across the county.

Panto season

Love them or hate them, they are a great Christmas tradition. Oh, yes they are! For an evening of pure fun here is a list of pantomimes in Kent.

Ice skating

Ok, so you look more like Bambi taking his first steps rather than a graceful gliding swan. Who cares? You’re having wonderful Christmas fun that may or may not result in a few bruises. Get skating on one of these Christmas ice skating rinks across the county.

Christmas Grottos

There’s nothing more special than meeting Santa for Christmas. Make the little ones’ Christmas even more memorable with a trip to a magical Christmas grotto ranging from Narnia’s enchanting world through the wardrobe to a wonderful winter train journey with Santa. Booking is recommended so get in quick to avoid disappointment.

Christmas Markets

Get your Christmas fix with festive food and drinks, crafts, gifts, music and much more! Don’t miss out, so be there at one of these Christmas markets or be square (don't make us use the other 's' word - 'Scrooge').

If you’re not quite ready for Christmas, here are some non-Christmas things to do in Kent over November
