How are you celebrating Advent?

The word Advent refers to the coming of Jesus into the world. It was originally a time of fasting and self-reflection where Christians used the four Sundays and weeks of Advent to prepare and remember the meaning of Christmas.

The Advent season today lasts for four Sundays leading up to Christmas. There are several ways that Advent is counted down but the most common is by a calendar or candles.

Kent-Teach are celebrating Advent by carrying out random acts of kindness every day until 25th December. We’ll keep you updated on our Twitter and Facebook pages and hope we inspire you to get involved to encourage kindness amongst everyone this Christmas.

Please feel free to share your own random acts of kindness; we’d love to hear from you.

Happy Advent!
