Spring into Easter!...

Spring is FINALLY here! Everything is blooming and the birds are chirping as well as the clocks “Springing” forward to British Summer Time (BST), this Sunday!

It’s that time of year again where Easter is just around the corner and you need some fun Easter related activities to incorporate with the children’s learning!

Need ideas? How about the following fun activities:-

Design & create an Easter egg box, Easter bunny or Easter basket – an excellent opportunity for the children to use their creativity skills

30 photos of Easter as a Microsoft Powerpoint presentation – great for brightening up the classroom, using it as a display feature as well as asking the children to comment on each slide

Create a pop up Easter card – again using their creativity skills

Easter Egg Maths & any other appropriate topics – You could relate Maths equations and problem solving questions to Easter

Bake some chocolate treats, an Easter egg to put in their Easter Egg box! – Of course mention the underlying reason as to why we give eggs at Easter i.e. represent new life

Easter Egg Hunt – Easter is not the same without an exciting Easter Egg Hunt either in the classroom, around the school building or even outside providing the weather is ok!

Don’t forget, it’s not just about the fun stuff; it’s about them learning what Easter is all about, so by incorporating the above activities in the classroom, this will certainly aid their understanding on Easter as they will enjoy learning what it is all about!
