Dealing with a wide variety of visitors to our school, your primary focus will be to act as the first point of contact to visitors, staff, customers, parents and pupils alike. You will be responsible for providing a friendly and positive first impression, showcasing your flexible and passionate approach to ensuring a welcoming environment.

In this role you will:

  • Provide a high quality and efficient customer service, managing enquiries both face to face and via the telephone, dealing with calls to parents and carers for unexplained absences.
  • Provide general office support to implement and maintain all office procedures and systems to ensure the smooth running of the school, whilst assisting staff with a range administration tasks.
  • Ensure that all pupil information is kept up to date on SIMS.

We are looking for a candidate who:

  • Is able to demonstrate a high level of customer service and excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work accordingly.
  • Has a friendly and approachable manner and has the ability to maintain a calm, empathetic, courteous and professional demeanour at all times.
  • Has excellent telephone/switchboard skills and excellent verbal communication
  • Has good administrative skills and experience of Microsoft Word and an understanding of databases/spreadsheets.
  • Is able to deal professionally with confidential information
  • Is educated to GCSE C and above (Grade 4) or the equivalent with a good level of numeracy and literacy skills.
