We are looking to appoint a committed Teaching Assistant to join our school to work initially with a KS1 class and includes lunch supervision.  The position may also include one-to-one pupil support. 

The applicant will need to be qualified, have some experience from working in other key stages as staff are required to be adaptable and be able to work in different classes over time.  Someone with limited experience but a determination to grow and develop within the role would also be considered.

The candidate would need to demonstrate strong literacy and numeracy skills in order to assist the teacher in delivering the lessons and to enable the children to reach their full potential.  

The successful candidate will be required to set up learning areas, lead intervention groups and support children with learning needs as well as occasionally being responsible for the whole class. They would also need to be flexible and enthusiastic with a positive attitude.

This is a part-time permanent appointment (term-time only) 30h 25m per week,  8.40am - 3.15pm (30 minutes unpaid lunch break) Monday - Friday.  The post will be paid on KR3 pro rata (see Job Description for more details).

Singlewell school has a warm, family feel and is situated in a pleasant, leafy site on the outskirts of Gravesend. The school has been expanded to two form entry from September 2016 and had a new building constructed. We are now at full capacity with two classes in each year group from Reception through to Year 6. All classes have support assistants. We are very lucky to have modern buildings and facilities and spacious grounds.

Our Ofsted inspection recognised that Singlewell is a Good school. Progress and attainment are high across the school and teaching is good. It stated that attendance is high, behaviour is good and children enjoy coming to school. Pupils are eager to learn and work enthusiastically together. There are very positive relationships between pupils and staff.
