Halling Primary School is looking to appoint a substantive Deputy Headteacher to join our friendly and supportive SLT who work hard to ensure the children attending our school receive the very best from us.

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Deputy Headteacher will participate in the strategic leadership and management of the school and will be responsible for the quality of teaching and learning.

We are looking for a person who: -

  • Is excited to work with the Headteacher to lead the school
  • Has substantial recent senior leadership experience
  • Understands and can analysis data effectively to drive improvement
  • Can model excellent teaching
  • Has high expectations of staff, children and themselves
  • Has a passion for raising standards and attainment
  • Will work effectively with the Trust and local collaboration schools
  • Has an engaging style and motivates staff and pupils
  • Has a commitment to improving and developing their own practice
  • Has demonstrated their ability to lead others as an assistant or deputy HT
  • Has a proven track record in leading whole school improvement
  • Is an excellent role model for staff and pupils within the school
  • Is an excellent communicator
  • Encourages a whole school approach to improvement
