We are seeking an experienced, well organised and enthusiastic Administration Assistant to join our central team based at Lynsted & Norton Primary School in Sittingbourne. The successful candidate will work calmly amidst frequent interruptions whilst priding themselves on making an excellent first impression of the Trust by creating long-lasting relationships with all stakeholders.

You will have some financial and data entry experience, able to process basic financial transactions to facilitate the effective use of the Trust’s budget. You will be the first point of contact for Trust schools and suppliers dealing with simple financial and HR queries, support the recruitment of staff, and maintain HR data systems. You will be able to process and manage information in a variety of formats and work accurately and calmly under pressure to meet deadlines and maintain high standards of performance levels.

You will have good interpersonal skills, a professional flexible approach, be a confident clear communicator and have proven experience in establishing positive working relationships. You will be friendly, professional, efficient and reliable with previous experience of working in busy admin office and delivering front-line customer service. You will be very methodical with good planning and time management skills to adjust to the daily demands of a busy environment and work effectively.

You will have strong IT skills, know to create simple spreadsheets and mail merge information from databases into documents using Microsoft Office. You should have quick and accurate keyboard skills. Experience of using school administration and financial systems would be an advantage

This is a full-time position (37 hours per week) 42 weeks of the year (term time, inset days plus 3 weeks). Leave can only be taken during school holidays.

An understanding of relevant child protection policies which keep children safe in a school setting would be beneficial but is not essential as full training would be provided

The salary for this post will be paid pro rata on Kent Range 3 (FTE £16825-£17411). Pay review pending from 1/9/20
