Shears Green Junior School is seeking to appoint a motivated and committed individual to the role of Clerk to the Governing Body.

This is a key role to provide advice and guidance to the Governing Body on governance, constitutional and procedural matters and contribute towards the efficient functioning of the meetings.  You must be reliable and able to work flexible hours (usually in the evening) and be available for all meetings and associated events.  Hours will vary but you will be paid 60 hours over the course of the academic year.

You will be required to provide administrative and organisation support, guidance to ensure that the Governing Body works in compliance with the appropriate legal and regulatory framework, and understand the potential consequences for noncompliance and advice on procedural matters.

A good level of education is required together with proven experience of organising meetings, writing agendas and producing accurate and concise minutes.
