We are seeking to appoint two highly effective, caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to provide 1:1 support for two Year R child with ASD.  Working Monday to Friday between the hours of 9am till 3pm, term time only. This post is linked to the child and will terminate when the child leaves the school.  Initially this post will be morning only, rising to all day as the child successfully transitions into attending full time.

Successful candidates will:

  • have experience in working with pupils with special needs or be willing to attend training.
  • have experience in supporting children’s learning, modifying or adapting activities to enable accelerated progress
  • show positive skills in supporting emotional well-being.
  • have high expectations for children’s behaviour
  • be used to working closely with the Class Teacher, SENCO and external professionals
  • have an understanding of school safeguarding and policies and the need for confidentiality
  • be adaptable, cheerful and willing to work as part of a team
  • be willing to undertake additional training if needed.
