Ramsgate Arts Primary School is looking for a Sports Coach to provide sporting opportunities during lunch time.

Are you a caring, enthusiastic person with an interest in Sports who is looking for an opportunity to bring your experience to an outstanding staff team at Ramsgate Arts Primary School? If so, you could be just the person we need to join our dedicated Sports Team.  We currently have a vacancy for a Sports Coach to provide sessions during lunchtime Supervisor from September 2020.

You will be required to engage with children by providing a varied selection of sports and active play opportunities during their lunch time ensuring their wellbeing and maintaining their safety within school guidelines and policies.

Whilst experience is not a necessity, a genuine interest in children is - you need to like children, to want the very best for them and be prepared to put their needs first. Children will be at the heart of your work; you must be able to demonstrate that you understand the importance of educating the whole child within a creative and innovative school setting.

The ideal candidate will

  • To assist in the delivery of multi-sports during lunchtime
  • Be able to use initiative to deal with any issues that arise and adapt to situations accordingly
  • Be able to plan fun and interesting activities during the lunch period.
  • Have a keen interest in learning and a willingness to engage in training
  • A high level of motivation, enthusiasm and a positive attitude
  • Good interpersonal skills enabling effective communication with children and colleagues
  • An awareness of how to ensure the safeguarding of our children
  • A current First Aid certificate or the willingness to train
  • A capacity to show initiative when encouraging children to engage in play activities
  • A positive rapport with colleagues and children

Please note that this role will include periods of working outside, all year round.

Position to start: September 2020

Hours: 5 hours per week, term time only

Pay Scale KR3: £18,039 pro rata (approx. £2,016.95 per annum).
