Here at Higham Primary School we are seeking an outstanding individual who will work as part of our committed team. The successful candidate will cover maternity leave for our full time Year 3 Class teacher from 1 September 2020.

The role is in line with the school teachers pay and conditions and would be taking on the subject leadership for at least one subject area. You would work with our fantastic team supporting development for all pupils as well as colleagues across the school.

Working part-time may be considered for the right candidate (minimum of 3 days). Please indicate in your application if this is a preferred option. However in the first instance we would prefer a full time teacher.

We would usually welcome all potential applicants to come and have a look around our school prior to application to see for themselves the environment, pupils and team that we are so proud of. However due to the current Coronavirus situation this is not possible and interviews will take place via zoom. After the interview the successful candidate will have the opportunity to look around the school(which may have to be a weekend to reduce contact with staff and children).

Higham Primary School is a one form entry school with 209 pupils currently on roll. We are located in Higham village, between Gravesend and Rochester.
The school is easily accessible and only 10 minutes walk from Higham Station. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our pupils and staff and expect all applicants to share this commitment. We work together as a team to support all pupils and staff to be successful.
