Advert

Bredgar CEP School is looking for a temporary teacher to cover maternity leave from September 2020 to the end of June 2021. (The end date may change depending on the teacher's return date.)

The school benefits from a wonderful staff team, good support from parents, governors and the local church community, as well as having polite, well behaved and motivated pupils.

This is a full time, temporary position to teach in our Reception class.

Putting the children at the heart of all we do is fundamental. As well as wanting to achieve good academic results, we also give equal importance to nurturing the whole child so they are developing all the skills needed to be active and responsible citizens of the future. As a Church of England School, a willingness to be supportive of the Christian ethos and values of the school is vital.

We are looking for someone who will be able to implement the school’s curriculum in an innovative and creative way in our EYFS class of 15 children. Approaching teaching and learning in response to the children’s needs using exciting and contemporary techniques is expected. You must be dedicated to fully meet the expectations of the Teacher Standards and be looking to widen your skills and experiences as a teacher; in return you will have a fun and supportive staff team to work alongside and wonderful children to influence and inspire.

NQT's are welcome to apply.

The Bredgar CEP School community is committed to safeguarding children. All posts are offered subject to the satisfactory outcome of safeguarding checks including an enhanced DBS check. References will be requested prior to interview.

To ensure the safety of all, and following the government guidelines, during this challenging time, interviews may take place via video link using Microsoft Teams or Skype, this link may also be used to verify identification documents for DBS purposes.

Information about the school

Bredgar Church of England Primary School is a small rural school with 104 pupils on roll. The village is exceptionally beautiful and provides an idyllic environment for our children. In January 2022, Ofsted confirmed that the school continues to be good, with children who display excellent learning and social behaviours and an ethos and culture of nurturing pupils. The Diocese SIAMS inspection in March 2017 found that the school continues to be an outstanding church school. Our friendly staff are fully committed and work hard as a team, raising standards of achievement for all pupils.
