We are very sad to be losing our dedicated Family Liaison Officer who is moving on to pastures new. At Palace Wood Primary School we see exceptional pastoral care as being essential to allow all of our pupils to thrive and our FLO is at the heart of this.

We are looking to appoint a motivated, approachable person to step into the busy role of Family Liaison Officer. They will be working closely with our SENCO and as part of our safeguarding team to remove any barriers to learning. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills as they will be working daily with parents, staff and external agencies.

We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic individual to undertake this role and the successful applicant will:-

  • Have the ability to build effective professional relationships with parents, pupils and staff.
  • Show initiative and a willingness to be involved in all aspects of school life and have the ability to draw on a wide range of support services, information, opportunities and guidance.
  • Work closely and honestly with Senior Leaders including the SENCO.
  • Be part of the safeguarding team.

Applicants Will Need To Have:-

Fantastic empathetic skills, ability to relate to the social, emotional & physical needs of all children.

Experience of working alongside families and ability to form positive relationships with children and adults.

High standards of work ethic and self-motivation, capable of dealing with challenging situations.

Good literacy and mathematical skills, including record-keeping.

Excellent interpersonal, listening and organisational skills.

High standards of integrity, professional standards & team work.

Be committed to continuing professional development.
Have commitment to raising standards and achievement for all pupils.
