Would you like to join our aspirational, joyful school community, where senior leaders and staff share a passion and determination to unlock the potential in every pupil?

We need an experienced support officer, with school experience, to organise the administration and reception duties at our new 6th Form Centre.  You will need to be able to work independently, as you will be the only member of office staff on site most of the time.  For this reason, you will need to be experienced in a busy school environment.

At Meadowfield we work hard to ensure that all of our pupils make excellent progress, and we continually seek to improve the wellbeing of both pupils and staff. Now is an exciting time to join our outstanding school as we expand in order to better meet the demand for special school places in Swale. We are incredibly proud our very recent Ofsted inspection (see the report on our profile page). Ofsted recognise that relationships between our staff and pupils are exceptionally positive, and we are delighted that our pupils told inspectors they are very happy at the school and really enjoy their lessons.

We encourage all of our employees to further their career development and we respect initiative and ambition. We are committed to performance management, staff training, coaching, mentoring and peer support.

From all staff we expect commitment to the school and a desire to improve and excel. Further information about the responsibilities of the role, and the criteria we will use to select candidates, can be found in the attached job description and person specification.

Salary: Kent Range 5 £18,704 - £20,121 (equates to £15,898 - £17,033 pro rata for 37 hours per week, 39 working weeks per year).  The grade will be dependent upon the skills and experience of the successful candidate.

The working hours are 8:00am – 4:00pm Mon – Thur and 8:00am – 3:30pm Friday (37 hours), term time only (39 weeks).
