Full Time Position

 

Teacher of Computer Science/ICT

 

Salary Main Scale/UPS depending on experience plus SENA

 

We are looking for a qualified, skilled and enthusiastic individual to teach Computer Science/ICT to KS3 and KS4 students up to GCSE.

 

Hopefully, you will be able to demonstrate the following:

 

  • Be able to teach to a good/outstanding level.

 

  • Have excellent I.T. knowledge, skills and understanding

 

  • Possess superb behaviour management skills.

 

  • Want to teach and develop students who sometimes find learning in the classroom difficult.

 

  • Be familiar with the national curriculum for Programming and GCSE syllabus for ICT and have a proven record of enabling students to achieve their target grades.

 

  • Have high expectations and standards.

Information about the school

All 80 students on roll have an EHC plan with SEMH or ASD as their main SEN need. Most have additional associated diagnosed and undiagnosed needs. All have a broadly average cognitive profile with behaviour presenting as the biggest barrier to accessing education.

It is essential that have a good understanding of Special Educational Needs associated with student who present with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs and or Autism and experience of working successfully with other agencies to help these children achieve positive outcomes. A high proportion of our children are eligible for pupil premium.
