Are you someone who loves a challenge? Are you interested in working with one of the south east’s most dynamic multi academy trusts? Do you want to transform the lives of young people in an underperforming school?

We are looking to appoint a part-time Science Technician as part of a small and cohesive Science team who are dedicated to ensuring all students achieve their potential through delivering creative, high quality lessons that engage and challenge.

We have a coherently planned and structured five-year Science curriculum that builds on students' experience and learning. The curriculum allows for knowledge acquisition over time as well as developing their independence in class and out of school learning. The curriculum is designed to challenge all pupils regardless of their starting point. It promotes resilience, independence and ultimately development of a growth mind-set.

At KS3 pupils study units in Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Interleaving these key ideas through the five-year curriculum allows for knowledge acquisition over time.  The curriculum provides retrieval practice and encourages pupils to find links within and between topics.

At KS4 pupils study either Combined Science, following the AQA Trilogy syllabus, or the individual sciences. To support teaching, we have a lesson by lesson schemes of work with associated core questions which highlight the key knowledge pupils need to take away from each lesson.
