The ethos of Sandling School is to: work together, achieve together and have fun together; this is true of the whole school community.

Our child centred approach was recognised by our last OFSTED inspection June 2016 when they said “You put the pupils at the heart of everything you do … Standards of behaviour and academic achievement continue to be high across the school ... The pupils are well prepared to take the next steps in their education.”

OFSTED have visited February 2020 but final report is waiting to be published.

We are looking for:

  • a KS2 teacher to join our friendly, dedicated and supportive team.
  • The successful candidate will be able to deliver consistently, high quality teaching and learning.
  • As all staff, beyond their NQT year, lead a subject area, please specify your subject strengths and interests within your application.

We can offer you:

  • a supportive staff team
  • effective induction
  • continuing professional development
  • polite, motivated, enthusiastic and well behaved children
  • a well-resourced school
  • a supportive and active PTA (Friends of Sandling School) a strong governing body.

The school is well resourced with many facilities including: a library, computing suite and extensive grounds with a wildlife area. We offer a wide variety of clubs for children to enrich their learning.

We have designed a creative curriculum, which is regularly refreshed to reflect current topics and interests of the children.

We had a one day OFSTED inspection in Feb 2020 with a good outcome which confirmed our high expectations and standards.

With easy access from the M20, and being situated less than 3 miles from Maidstone centre, the school is easily accessible by road.
