The Governing Board is seeking to appoint a dynamic and creative practitioner with high expectations, proven leadership skills and a commitment to maintaining the highest educational standards and who will model best practice regarding professional conduct, workload and personal development. 

The new Headteacher will work in partnership with a motivated, dedicated and talented staff and a proactive and supportive Governing Board.

Information about the school

Greatstone Primary School is a Foundation School with ten classes and approximately 250 children. We also have a 40 place Nursery on site. We are a well maintained rural school set in large open grounds close to the sandy beaches of the south east coast and the unique landscape and nature reserve at Dungeness. The school has good access by road and is about 30 minutes drive from both Ashford and Folkestone.

The School and Nursery have a very good reputation within the local area and is renowned for the excellent behaviour of its children and the high expectations of its staff. We have a reputation for delivering a high standard of education in a friendly, happy and supportive environment. The school was rated Good in its last OFSTED inspection carried out during May 2022.
