Grange Park School is a successful, specialist provision for children aged 11-19 years on the autism spectrum, and is based in purpose built accommodation located in Wrotham, Kent with satellite provision for our Post 16 student’s s at 3 local colleges - Mid Kent College in Maidstone and Gillingham and Hadlow College in Hadlow

In September 2019 opened our primary provision in Stansted village, situated 4 miles from the main school site.  This new primary site will accommodate 36 pupils in Key Stage 2, aged between 9-11 years.

Due to internal promotion we are looking to appoint a flexible, organised and enthusiastic Receptionist / Clerical Assistant, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, to join our friendly school.  The successful candidate will be required to work across both the Wrotham and Stansted sites.

The school offers comprehensive training in ASC, exceptional CPD support and development opportunities through our Co-operative Trust of SEN schools.

Hours will be 37 per week, 5 days a week from 8.00am – 4.00pm, Mondays to Thursdays and 8.00am – 3.30pm on Fridays, for 39 weeks a year. Actual salary based on qualifications, skills and previous experience within the advertised range.

The position will involve working closely with pupils, parents, and members of the community and the successful candidate will be the first point of contact for both callers and visitors into the school.

Various clerical tasks will also form part of this role, including typing, filing, record keeping and photocopying.

Previous experience of admissions and SIMS.net knowledge and school admissions procedures would be desirable however full training will be provided.  Experience of general office and other computer programmes (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc) is essential.

Currently judged as “Good” by Ofsted, the school is very well placed to becoming Outstanding and is oversubscribed.

Our School

Grange Park School is an autism specific provision for children aged 11 to 19 located in a purpose built school in Wrotham and for children aged 8-11 located in Stansted village 3 miles from the main school site. The school also operates a post16 provision in partnership with a local college in Maidstone and Medway. All of our pupils have educational heath care plans.

All of our pupils are expected to sit GCSE’s and transition into adulthood with the skills to be successful. Class sizes at the Stansted and Wrotham sites are between 11-13 pupils with a teacher and 1-2 learning mentors. At the partnership college, learning mentors are supporting individual students or small groups of students aged 16-19 years in the college tutor groups / classrooms and out in the community.
