Bredgar Church of England Primary School is a popular, small, Church of England Primary School located on the outskirts of Sittingbourne. We are looking for a highly efficient, friendly and reliable Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our hard working and dedicated team. This is a permanent position of 30 hours a week, 6 hours a day (8.30am - 12.15pm and 1.15pm - 3.30pm)

The successful candidate will have the flexibility to work in any class to support the learning, behaviour and wellbeing of our lovely pupils. An interest in teaching Maths and/or PE is welcomed. Reflecting the Christian ethos of the school in your words and actions every day is vitally important. 

You will need to be educated to GCSE A* - C level or above in both Maths and English and have a basic knowledge of IT. You will also need to be flexible, supportive and a positive team player with a sense of humour and possess excellent communication skills.

Information about the school

Bredgar Church of England Primary School is a small rural school with 104 pupils on roll. The village is exceptionally beautiful and provides an idyllic environment for our children. In January 2022, Ofsted confirmed that the school continues to be good, with children who display excellent learning and social behaviours and an ethos and culture of nurturing pupils. The Diocese SIAMS inspection in March 2017 found that the school continues to be an outstanding church school. Our friendly staff are fully committed and work hard as a team, raising standards of achievement for all pupils.
